Thoughts on Thoughts

@swamijayadevi teaches that the point of meditation is to get the space between the thoughts to open up a little bit. It is the tool to condition the mind and to help you see your patterns. A trained mind is your greatest ally she says.

I aspire to be better at sitting quietly and allowing my thoughts to drift in and out of my head, but my thoughts are such divas - they like to be documented so future generations can know they existed. The ego on these thoughts! That being said, I have accepted that writing is my most consistent form of meditation. It’s how I declutter the mind, organize my thoughts, and keep records of my patterns.

I want my mind to be my ally so writing is how I train it. How do you train your mind?
