I really enjoyed the movie “Soul”. I enjoy most Pixar films (more on my love of Disney and Pixar later) but this one stayed with me for a bit after watching it. The talk of purpose, passion, and the meaning of life was very thought provoking. I’m sure most of us have contemplated those things before and I’m sure everyone’s answer is as unique as we are as individuals.
I really liked the analogy about the fish: 🐠
“I heard a story about a fish. He swims up to this older fish and says ‘I’m trying to find this thing they call the ocean.’ ‘The ocean?’ says the older fish. ‘That’s what you’re in right now.’ ‘This,’ says the young fish, ‘this is water. What I want is the ocean.’” 🐟💦🌊
That story made me think that if all I do is go about my daily life tasting things, trying things, loving people, writing just for the hell of it. That’ll be enough. That’ll be me swimming around in a body of water that looks eerily like the ocean.
