“Potential isn’t a fit. A fit is a fit.”
I heard that on a tv show. Sadly I can’t remember which show, but that phrase stuck with me.
There are many times I’ve stayed places because I saw the potential. But for whatever reason, it wasn’t a fit. Sometimes the timing was off, other times the expectations didn’t align, other-other times it just didn’t feel all the way right. It’s tough when you can’t quite put your finger on it but you just know it isn’t going to work.
If you’ve felt that before I’d like to encourage you... a fit is out there. Potential will only get you so far.
