Thoughts on Choices

My mother talks about choices pretty regularly. I remember she started talking about it a lot when I was in middle school or highschool, even more when I was exiting college and trying to find where I belong in the real world, and continues still as I navigate this thing called adulthood.

Her main message is that I don’t ever have to be stuck. I always have choices. If I try something and it doesn’t work out I can choose to go a different direction. The same is true for you. If you ever feel stuck you don’t have to stay stuck. You can try something new. You can go a different direction. We always have choices. Sometimes it just takes creativity and tenacity to find out what those choices are.
